Corrective Maintenance Program (CMP)

Client: San Diego Gas and Electric Company (SDG&E)

Project Location: Southern California, USA

Main Discipline: Electrical Transmission (Line)

Year: 2018 – present

A long-term program to upgrade SDG&E’s transmission line assets. This program is focused on transmission lines with damaged, over-utilized structures or lines with clearance issues or other deficiencies. Projects vary in complexity level and schedule to meet the compliance dates set by the existing condition of the poles and their location with respect to the Southern California High Fire Threat Zones. Kosmos Group designs and completes Issued For Construction (IFC) packages for wood, steel, and engineered steel poles for a transmission voltage range of 69 to 230 kV.  The majority of the poles have under-built distribution (4 to 12 kV), Service Wires, Fiber Optic, and/or ADSS.
